Temple University Alumni Spearhead Independent Film Festival
Philadelphia, PA, May 6, 2003 – FirstGlance’s annual independent film festival is playing Philadelphia for its sixth year under the direction of creator and Temple alumnus, William Ostroff. Ostroff has been working in the film and TV industry for over 10 years. Working with major studios such as Disney, Warner Bros., Universal, Dreamworks and Paramount on feature films and television series, Ostroff graduated from Temple University in 1993 with a degree in film and video and has been working steadily ever since. He is currently working on several projects and trying to produce a feature to be shot in Philadelphia.
Brooke Lewis, Vice President FirstGlance Films, began her acting career in community theatre at eight. After graduating from Temple University, she continued to perform around the Philadelphia area, New York City, and eventually relocated to Los Angeles to produce and star in independent films.
With 15 years experience in the advertising industry, Andrea DiFabio, East Coast Head of Promotions, runs her own public relations and communications company, Creative Communications. With a Radio-Television-Film degree from Temple University, she brings a unique perspective the festival.
FirstGlance 6 Philadelphia Film Festival, Philadelphia’s first independent, competitive, bi-coastal film festival, is bringing a wonderful mix of mainstream and indie work to Prince Music Theater’s Cinema Lounge, The Sharon Pinkenson Project, 1412 Chestnut Street at Broad Street, on June 6, 7th and 8th, 2003.
The mission of the festival is to exhibit and showcase film and video from around the country and the globe. With a special category, Shot in Philly at the Los Angeles festival, a taste of Philly is exhibited on the West Coast.
