Dear Board of Editors:

I am writing in response to the articles about gay pride in the Oct. 11-17 issue of Temple News. As a Christian these articles disturbed me very much.

It must be clearly understood that God does not tolerate the homosexual lifestyle and other lifestyles such as drunkenness. It clearly states in Leviticus 18:22, “Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable.”

Why does God not tolerate the homosexual lifestyle? It is because he is a holy God and a righteous God. Also, the Bible makes it clearly known that homosexuality is a sin that goes against God. It says in I Corinthians 6:9-11, “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were.” The sin of homosexuality separates you from God and you will not go to heaven.

God still loves you and wants to see you come out of your struggle with homosexuality, but there are consequences for your decisions. The articles in the most recent Temple News were full of “gay pride.” This is pride against what the God has called wrong, so it is pride against God himself. It seems that many care more about their sexual preference then they do about their creator and savior Jesus. Please open your eyes to what you are doing for you are walking in the ways of unrighteousness that lead to eternal separation from God in Hell. Please call out to God for he sent his son Jesus to die for your sins. Repent and you will be saved just like Ezekiel says.
