With four games left on the schedule, the Owls have a 40 percent chance to beat Navy and a 28.1 percent chance of finishing bowl eligible, according to SportSource Analytics.
The Owls turned over the ball twice, dropped passes in key situations and committed 12 penalties in their 28-24 loss to Connecticut on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
The redshirt-junior has seven catches for 57 yards in his last four games, but the Owls will face the worst passing defense in the Football Bowl Subdivision on Saturday against UConn.
Temple needs to win at least four of its next seven games to achieve bowl-eligible status, but coach Geoff Collins said teams ‘fall apart’ when they start weighing importances of games.
