Freshman guard Nate Pierre-Louis scored three points in seven minutes during the Owls’ 76-60 win against the University of South Carolina on Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
Junior guard Shizz Alston Jr. made two 3-pointers, and sophomore guard Quinton Rose made five 3-pointers in Temple’s 88-74 win on Friday against Auburn University in the Charleston Classic semifinal round in South Carolina.
After spending eight seasons at Temple with the women’s basketball team, coach Dawn Staley left for the South Carolina Gamecocks last year. She recruited 2009’s No. 4 class.
