Men’s basketball head coach John Chaney remained at Temple’s University Hospital with a mild case of pneumonia yesterday, forcing him to miss the team’s game against Penn State last night.
Assistant coach Nate Blackwell will take over for Chaney, who checked into the hospital last Sunday after leaving practice early.
After the game the team will take a bus from State College, Pa. to Harrisburg where they will catch a flight today to Chicago for Saturday’s game against Illinois.
Whether or not Chaney will coach on Saturday could be a last minute decision.
