Temple Student Government is working to make faculty evaluations more readily available to students.
According to the co-chair of the TSG University Resources Committee, Irene Shlain, her committee is negotiating with the Faculty Senate about the accessibility of faculty evaluations to students.
A suggestion to post the results of evaluations online is under discussion.
Also at the meeting, the chair of Internal Operation Committee, Tim Bennett, announced that elections for university representatives would be held on Monday, Dec. 2.
There are 12 positions open.
The deadline for turning in a letter of intent for the position is Tuesday, Nov. 26.
A CPR training program was introduced by chair of Community Affairs Committee Tai Baker.
The program is being held on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. A sign-up sheet is available at TSG office.
She also thanked students who participated in the Nov. 14 Red Cross Bone Marrow Drive for helping to make it a success.
TSG president Therion Baker encouraged students to get involved in university activities.
“If you are a freshman or sophomore, it doesn’t matter. If you are a junior or senior, it’s not too late,” Baker said.
“Leave your mark at Temple University before you leave.”
“We got to step up and reach out for each other,” he said.
“We are like pieces of puzzles. Come to talk to us. It’s great [that] a lot of organizations are having events and programs. 30 years later, we want to say we had a good time at Temple.”
It was announced at the meeting that on Monday, Nov. 25 that the Australian rock band Brother will be playing at the Owl Cove at Mitten Hall.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $9 with student ID.
