Game of the Week
La Salle 79, Xavier 70
La Salle clinched its fifth straight win against Atlantic Ten Conference rival Xavier, solidifying its first winning season since the 1992-93 campaign.
Three Explorers reached double-digit scoring, led by senior Steven Smith’s game-high 23 points.
Following a solid effort from both teams in the first half, the Explorers (15-7) took a 40-36 lead by halftime. Returning from the break, the Musketeers’ Dedrick Finn sank a three-pointer – the last field goal the Musketeers would make in the next nine minutes. Capitalizing off Xavier’s scoring drought, La Salle extended its lead by as many as 15 points.
Xavier rallied back with a 12-3 run, cutting the Explorers’ lead to two points. La Salle sealed the victory by connecting on its final two free throws.

Game of the Week
UNC-Wilmington 51, Drexel 43
Despite holding UNC-Wilmington to a mere two second-half baskets, Drexel gave up 26 points at the free throw line in suffering the loss.
The Dragons (10-12) briefly led, 28-27, after going on a 9-2 run in the second-half. But that was not enough to stop the Seahawks.
The Seahawks were held scoreless for the first eight minutes and 22 seconds of the second half. They then drew enough fouls to enter the bonus with 12 minutes left in the half.
While at the line, the Seahawks capitalized on a fountain of free throws. Their shots from the charity stripe helped them make up for their 10-percent shooting effort in the second half.
