Sophomore midfielder Amber Lambeth scored her first four career goals in the Owls’ 13-11 win against Rutgers University in Piscataway, New Jersey on Saturday.
Led by its 13 seniors, the lacrosse team made its first appearance in the Big East tournament in three seasons, eventually losing to No. 2 Florida in the championship.
The University of Florida used a six-goal run to defeat the Owls, 16-4, in the Big East Conference championship game on Saturday at Georgetown University’s Cooper Field.
Senior midfielder Kirstie Connor had four draw controls and scored a career-high five goals, four of which in the second half, to help the Owls advance to the Big East final with a 12-8 victory on Saturday at Cooper Field against Connecticut.
Coach Bonnie Rosen’s squad defeated Georgetown 11-4 on Saturday at Geasey field to claim its first spot in a conference tournament since leaving the Atlantic-10 in 2013.
