Temple will honor its two greatest basketball coaches on Wednesday, Nov. 29 during pre-game ceremonies for the men’s basketball game against UNC-Charlotte.

Coaches John Chaney and Harry Litwack, both Hall of Famers, will be enshrined at the Liacouras Center with banners raised to the rafters.

Litwack was inducted into the National Basketball Hall of Fame in 1975. He led Temple to 13 post-season tournaments and the 1969 NIT championship.

Chaney was inducted into the Hall of Fame in October. He is the all-time winningest coach at Temple with a 431-199 career record.

The half-court circle at the Liacouras Center is already named in honor of Chaney and Litwack.

There will be a pep rally at 5 p.m. at McGonigle Hall. The banner ceremony will take place at 6:45 p.m., 15 minutes before tip-off.

Members of the Litwack family and a group of Temple basketball Hall of Famers will be on hand for the ceremony.
