Have you ever noticed the similarities between SEPTA and the XFL? Consider the following:

* Web site: XFL-nothing more than propaganda; SEPTA-nothing more than propaganda
* Too slow: XFL-team introductions take forever; SEPTA-buses and trolleys take forever
* What everyone’s thinking: XFL-“I can’t believe they charge money for this garbage!”; SEPTA- “I can’t believe they charge money for this service!”
* Approval ratings: XFL-Approval rating once high, now flat as a pancake; SEPTA-Approval rating never high, always dead as a doornail
* Lateness: Lorne Michaels was upset because SNL started 45 minutes too late; SEPTA-Regional Rail trains often run 45 minutes too late
* Trash: XFL-Recruited players from the scrap heap; SEPTA-Treats customers like garbage
* Rage: XFL-A team in Orlando; SEPTA-A quality riders show after the subway pulls out of the station just as they arrive

EINSTEIN OF THE WEEK:
Recently, I boarded a bus where the driver was on her first day on the job. This was apparent when she ended up traveling along the wrong street. Everything would have ended up fine if she had made a right turn, but of course, since this is the “Einstein of the Week” feature, she made a left turn. She traveled in the opposite direction for about three blocks and then made two more left turns, where she ended up crossing paths with a bus that had previously been directly behind her. After following on the correct route for several blocks, she made a left turn from the center lane and skipped a bus stop. Gotta love SEPTA!
