The Temple News would like to correct information given in an article that appeared in “Nobody Told Me…” in the Jan. 8 Temple Living section. The information was compiled from inaccurate listings on Temple’s online resources. If you have any questions, please contact your adviser.
According to policy number 02.10.14, effective Sept. 1, 2003, during the “first two weeks of the fall or spring semester or summer sessions, students may withdraw from a course with no record of the class appearing on the transcript. In weeks three through nine of the fall or spring semester, or during weeks three and four of summer sessions, the student may withdraw with the advisor’s permission. The course will be recorded on the transcript with the instructor’s notation of “W,” indicating that the student withdrew. After week nine of the fall or spring semester, or week four of summer sessions, students may not withdraw from courses.”
The W/WF option is no longer in effect as of fall 2003.
The article reported incorrectly that withdrawals may be completed through week six of the semester and students may withdrawal with a W/WF.
