Philadelphia’s own, Showin’ Tell is hosting their CD Release Party at the Eastern State Penitentiary on September 17th.
Eastern State Penitentiary operated for 142 years and once held such infamous inmates as Al Capone and bank robber Willie Sutton. It closed in 1971 and in 1994 it opened its doors to the public for tours of the old prison. The event is open to ALL AGES. Free “refreshments” will be available, including Dock Street beer. The $12 ticket includes admission to see 3 bands, free drinks, giveaways, and a limited edition T-Shirt.
Their CD, Tuesday Afternoon delivers a potent brew
of original tunes influenced by a range of artists including Kiss & Janis Joplin. They blend heavy drumming, melodic vocals and driving riffs.
Showin’ Tell recorded with producer Jason Rubal at several studios including Moontree, the personal studio of Chad Taylor (guitarist of Live). Jeska had the honor of recording with Chad’s Martin acoustic guitar.
