As all eyes turn to Philadelphia for the first presidential debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, Temple College Republicans will be watching live to support Trump and his bid for the presidency.
TU Republicans is joining the Philadelphia Young Republicans for its watch party at the Red Owl Tavern. The event will kick off 7:30 p.m.

10:34p.m. EST — Crowd members yell “Shut up” and “Be quiet” to other crowd members as the topic of climate change is discussed.
10:28p.m. EST — Billy Walker, Chairman of Temple Republicans, hopes to hear Trump focus more on the future than his past goals.
10:27p.m. EST — “I think in the last debate with Biden, he talked more about his past accomplishments rather than what he wants to do to achieve more future ones,” Walker said.

“Millennials and Gen Z are the biggest voting base right now, and this election is going to be crucial,” says Salerno. “Whoever wins Pennsylvania is going to win the White House.”
