According to District Attorney Lynne Abraham’s February newsletter, two men were sentenced on Jan. 14 for the rapes and robbery of three people, including two former Temple students, in 2006.

Lebrente Robinson and Jacoby Robinson will both likely spend the rest of their lives in prison with minimum sentences of 90 and 87.5 years, respectively.

The crimes include entrance into a Port Richmond home at gunpoint, the rapes of two Temple alumnae and the beating of one girl’s boyfriend, according to a recent Philadelphia Inquirer article.

According to the Inquirer, Judge Leon Tucker went above the sentences suggested by the assistant district attorney in order to protect the public.
