Noah Potvin’s article on “reverse racism” is biased. It is almost funny how he tried to hide his bias by advocating his support for affirmative action. How is it not logical to have Temple’s black population be “close” to the white population? While it’s true that the black population “hovers around 15 percent” in the U.S., a quick check at census.gov clearly shows that blacks are a plurality in Philadelphia. It’s not the national population that matters; it is the city where the school is located that does. Since blacks and whites are “close” to the same population in Philadelphia, shouldn’t Temple’s black population be close to whites? Let’s be honest, it is not like Temple is recruiting people from Utah.
