The 4th General Assembly of Temple Student Government began with motions to pass different bills and resolutions concerning monetary allocations to campus organizations, including WHIP student radio, S.O.C.A. (Student Organization for Caribbean Awareness), ROTC and Hillel.

Though certain organizational representatives questioned budget issues and the amount of money being apportioned to some organizations, all bills petitioned were approved by members of the General Assembly.

At this meeting, Lt. Eileen Bradley and Lt. Robert Lowell from Campus Safety Services, were present. Bradley and Lowell talked about security cameras on campus. Temple’s main campus has about 150 security cameras, not including several others on Temple’s other campuses.

Andrew Cronan from Career Development Services visited and informed the General Assembly of the upcoming career fair at the Liacouras Center Oct. 15 from 11 to 4 p.m. Students are invited to bring resumes and meet employers from Philadelphia.

TSG also announced an organizational fair in Johnson and Hardwick Halls directed toward freshmen. On-campus organizations hope to recruit freshman to join.

TSG asks that anyone interested in running for Homecoming King or Queen 2003 to attend the meeting Thursday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. in TSG’s office.
