BYOB should be renamed BYOT (for tequila) at this diamond in the rough. Las Cazuelas, a Mexican BYOB on the corner of 4th Street and Girard Avenue, is the place to go on the weekend with a group of your friends to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The restaurant offers free margaritas if you bring your own tequila – the nearest liquor store is located at 32 South St. On the weekends, make your reservations in advance because this gem has two small floors which fill up fast.

“It’s a great place out of the ruse of Center City to get great, authentic Mexican food,” said Genna Viozzi, a server. Even if you’re not a fan of Mexican spices, Las Cazuelas offers mild foods such as a Queso Quesadilla.

Free chips and salsa are included to munch while you wait for your entree and the servers will even let you test taste sauces before ordering.

Parking is easy and service is friendly. Las Cazuelas provides a cozy, but not crowded atmosphere where you can dine with companions.

Don’t worry – they’ll take care of the salt.
