The Owls lost to undefeated Liberty University, 4-0, on Friday afternoon at Howarth Field.

The last time the Owls won a Big East game was in 2016 against Quinnipiac University.

The Owls have beaten their wins total for all of the 2018 season in only four games.

Since the match, the University of Maine has filed a complaint with Kent State’s Title IX administrators.

Kent State called off the game to prepare fireworks for its football team later that day.

Lorenz took a redshirt year in 2018 due to a hand injury sustained in the summer.

Temple last opened a season with back-to-back shutouts in 2008 under Amanda Janney.

The Owls won their first two games of the season with contributions from a new midfield unit.

The last shutout win was in 2017, 23 months ago.
