Feb. 1
2001 N. 10th St.

Student reported two unknown males forcibly took $21 and a cell phone at 1:30 a.m. Jan. 30. No injury reported.

1200 Cecil B. Moore Ave.
An underage student was transported to Temple Hospital by Campus Police for treatment and observation of excessive consumption of alcohol. Referred to UDC.

1600 N. 12th St.
Window broken on a 2000 Chevrolet between 12:30 p.m. Jan. 29 and noon Jan. 30. Nothing reported missing.

1825 N. Broad St.

Campus Police arrested a non-Temple affiliated male for vandalism of a USPS mailbox.

2000 N. Broad St.

Complainant reported leaving his cell phone on a table at 6:45 p.m. and returned at 7 p.m. to find phone missing.

1101 Montgomery Ave.

Student reported receiving several harassing phone calls on several different occasions from a known Temple student.

1300 Residence Hall

Campus Police confiscated a bottle of vodka from an underage student who was attempting to enter 1300 Residence Hall. Referred to UDC.

An underage student was transported to Temple Hospital by Campus Police for treatment and observation of excessive consumption of alcohol. Referred to UDC.

1825 N. Broad St.
Campus Police arrested a male student for vandalism and possession of marijuana.

1035 Oxford St.
Window broken on a 2001 Dodge, between 4 a.m. and 11 a.m., GPS and purse containing various IDs and credit cards taken.

Feb. 2
1940 Residence Hall

An underage student was transported to Temple Hospital by Campus Police for treatment and observation of excessive consumption of alcohol. Referred to UDC.

2029 N. Broad St.
Student reported an unknown person removed his back pack left unattended on bench containing laptop and textbooks between 11 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. Feb. 1.

Annenberg Hall

Employee reported an unknown person damaged a table and scratched a television in the atrium area between Jan. 21 and Feb. 2.

1614 N. 15th St.
Employee reported an unknown person punched three holes in the wall and damaged an exit sign between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 29 and 8 a.m. Feb. 2.

1940 Residence Hall

Students reported an unknown person removed two laptop computers, two play station 3 game consoles, and one video game between 11:20 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. No force used.

Feb. 3
2000 N. Broad St.

Temple student sustained a small cut on the top of his head when he was struck by a bottle thrown by an unknown person at 11:55 p.m. Jan. 30.

2019 Carlisle St.
Male student was transported to Temple Hospital for treatment of minor injuries when he reported being assaulted by two unknown males at 1:19 a.m. Jan. 31.

Paley Library
Student reported an unknown person removed a BlackBerry cell phone left unattended in the computer area between 5:50 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 2.

1530 N. 12th St.
Window broken by an unknown person on a 2004 Honda, GPS system and mp3 player taken between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Feb. 2.

Anderson Hall
Student reported an unknown person removed unattended wallet containing social security card, debit card, and TransPass between 1 p.m. and 1:02 p.m. Feb. 2.

Alter Hall
Student reported an unknown person took her iPhone from her unattended handbag between 2 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. Feb. 3.

1300 Cecil B. Moore Ave.
Complainant reported three students threw snowballs at his moving vehicle. No damage or injuries reported. Referred to UDC.

Feb. 4

1300 Residence Hall

Student reported an unknown person removed a bag with fencing equipment from inside his room between Dec. 20 and Jan. 18. No force found.

Maxi’s Restaurant

Student reported an unknown person removed her Coach wallet containing $215.00, NY driver’s license, personal checks, and credit cards when it was left unattended between 10 p.m. Feb. 3 and 9 a.m. Feb. 4.

Window broken on a 2001 Hyundai, GPS unit removed between 10 a.m. Feb. 3 and 1:45 p.m. Feb. 5.

946 Cecil B. Moore Ave.

Window broken on a 1994 Nissan, stereo faceplate taken between 9 p.m. Jan. 29 and 4:10 p.m. Feb. 5.

University Village

Campus Police arrested a non-Temple affiliated male for public drunkenness.

1300 Residence Hall

An underage student was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital by Medic 13 for treatment and observation of excessive consumption of alcohol. Referred to UDC.

  1. Suggestion: For the sake of doing an on-going investigation, I think it would be neat to keep statistics as to the types of crimes that are reported. What if you created an interactive map plotting the location of crimes on and near campus. You could publish your findings on a regular basis to graphically enhance the crime reports AND it may help Temple Police figure out where to focus their efforts.

    Also, what can be done to further educate people to NOT leave their belongings unattended?!!?! That drives me crazy.
