This weekend’s performances are a slight change from the usual shows. Instead of two separate acts, Temple will host the City of Dreams Tour. The tour features artists Tom Wehrle and Eric Skelton. Both will play Saturday at the Underground.
Wehrle, a native of St. Louis, has two albums under his belt. His latest album “Room to Dream” was released last month. The solo artist, who writes his own songs, has been on the scene for the past five years. Georgia-born Skelton sold hundreds of copies of his first album, “Some Other City,” in its first month of release.
Though the artists have similar styles, each will perform separately. Tome Wehrle describes his music as pop rock and said his music is similar to the style of John Mayer.
Both musicians will perform acoustics sets featuring guitars and pianos. Artist and album information on John Wehrle and Eric Skelton can be found at www.myspace.com/cityofdreamstour.
