After a slow start in the first half the women’s basketball team (20-6, 9-2), got a boost in scoring from sophomore guard Kristen McCarthy in the second half en route to a 52-41 win over
Temple trailed by as many as eight points early on to Duquesne, but junior forward Lavoy Allen’s third straight double-double and contributions off the bench from Ramone Moore, Rahlir Jefferson and T.J. DiLeo led the Owls to a 76-60 win.
The men’s soccer team traded shutouts during the weekend, defeating St. Bonaventure, 1-0, while losing 1-0 to Duquesne. The Owls currently hold the sixth, and last, Atlantic Ten Conference playoff spot.
