The men’s basketball team had a glaring weakness last season – the lack of an inside presence.

While piecing together his first full recruiting class, coach Fran Dunphy has worked to solidify the Owls’ interior. He received more depth down low Monday when Craig Williams, a 6-foot-8 power forward from the U.S. Virgin Islands, signed a National Letter of Intent.

Williams became the third post player in Dunphy’s four-man 2007 recruiting class, joining 6-9 forward Lavoy Allen and 6-10 center Micheal Eric. Martavis Kee, a guard, rounds out the class.

Williams led Central High to the St. Croix Interscholastic title and also played for the Virgin Islands Junior National Team.
