Students met in Anderson Hall to watch the first presidential debate of the 2020 general election while following Temple’s COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.
Local representatives joined the head of the faculty union and a community activist in demanding Temple do more to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the process.
The new additions include Temple Faculty Senate Vice President Kimmika Williams-Witherspoon and Senior Advisor to the President for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Valerie Harrison.
Some Temple students protested the president at Independence Mall while he held a town hall with George Stephanopoulos inside the National Constitution Center.
