Black Lily is coming to Temple this Friday night.
With a host of female R&B, hip-hop, soul and spoken word artists, the show will feature Jasmine, Jaguar and Philadelphia’s own Jazzyfatnastees. The popular Black Lily night is frequently held in New York and Philadelphia clubs such as the Five Spot. The Roots started the open-mic series to showcase the wide variety of female talent in the scene, so don’t be surprised to see ?uestlove’s big-ass ‘fro behind the drum kit or if you find yourself (or your girl) on the stage. Yes, audience participation is encouraged.
Sponsored by Main Campus Program Board, the show will be held in Mitten Hall’s Owl Cove at 8 p.m.
