The baseball team was not so lucky and will be discontinued at the end of the year.

Women’s rowing coach Rebecca Smith is relieved that her team will not be cut. “It might take some time to heal the wounds, though,” she said.

BOT member Bob Rovner spoke mostly about the basketball’s recent play during his comment rather than addressing the athletes present at the meeting.

Stephanie Pasquale of the softball team turns to the rowing team during the meeting. Having the softball and baseball teams practice in Ambler was one of the reasons the board brought up for why they were cut. “How come soccer practices out there and didn’t get cut but we did?” she asks.

Fred Turoff who has been the men’s gymnastics head coach for the last 38 years collects himself as the meeting comes to a close.
