A graduating senior encourages her peers to celebrate their achievements while being safe.

Each college and school will hold separate in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies.

The Editorial Board recognizes the graduating class and the Temple community for withstanding the challenges of the pandemic.

As of now, only graduates will be able to attend in-person ceremonies due to city COVID-19 restrictions.

Graduation events will be held by individual schools and colleges and live streamed for those who cannot attend.

Some colleges have made plans to hold their ceremonies for the Class of 2020 in May 2021.

The university also canceled all campus events through May 31 in light of COVID-19.

The university will distribute its highest number of honorary degrees since 1986 this year.
