The American Athletic Conference Commissioner Mike Aresco announced the cancellation of the tournament on Thursday morning.

The Temple News will suspend printing but will continue to produce the same quality and quantity of content online.

Temple will move to online course instruction on March 16 to combat the spread of COVID-19, a disease caused by the novel coronavirus.

Temple golf headed back to South Carolina on Monday and Tuesday to play in the Cleveland Palmetto Intercollegiate.

The travel restriction will go into effect on Friday.

Temple Breakers held a week-long dance workshop to teach breakdance techniques starting March 9.

The tournament will begin Thursday with Temple tipping off against Southern Methodist at 8:30 p.m.

The campaigns officially kick off on March 21.

Temple was one of the last Philadelphia-area universities to make its announcement.

The NCAA will limit attendees to only essential personnel and “limited family.”
